About
Historic and systemic barriers have made it difficult for BIPOC and immigrant business owners to build wealth through commercial property ownership. Recently, a number of municipalities and organizations have established funds to support small business owners and developers in acquiring commercial property. Many of these real estate acquisition programs aim to help BIPOC and immigrant entrepreneurs overcome common barriers to commercial property ownership such as mortgage access.
