Our Small Business Anti-Displacement Toolkit is designed to equip small business advocates with tools to preserve small businesses in gentrifying neighborhoods. You can access our toolkit in three ways: download the full publication, browse strategies and tools in a web-based format, or use our interactive version for tailored solutions.

Small Business Anti-Displacement Toolkit, 2024

The second edition (July 2024) draws on what we’ve learned over the last three years from our network of more than 150 members about how municipalities and community-based organizations are supporting BIPOC- and immigrant-owned businesses.

The toolkit outlines seven strategy areas and details nearly 30 tools for implementing these strategies. We give examples of anti-displacement efforts in neighborhoods across the country and abroad and discuss how advocates can push policies that help keep small businesses in place.
