2025 Working Group
SBAN's 2025 Working Group is focusing on commercial tenant protections. BIPOC- and immigrant-owned small business tenants often face unpredictable rent hikes and evictions, unregulated fees, landlord harassment, a lack of legal education and assistance, and unexpected operating disruptions. The working group will explore ways to empower commercial tenants and keep small businesses stable and in their communities. Group members will also workshop their own tenant protections projects .
