- Nonprofit organizations
- Other local stakeholders

Fort Worth, Texas, residents and small business owners strategize at SBAN workshops in May 2025, hosted in partnership with the City of Fort Worth and Main Street America.
What can participants expect?
Participants work through a series of exercises, from describing their neighborhood’s small business challenges to learning about and prioritizing anti-displacement strategies that address their concerns. By the end of the workshop, participants are able to identify the most effective anti-displacement tools and understand the first steps to implementing them.
Participants will:
- Develop a shared understanding of key anti-displacement concepts and small business strategies and tools that other communities have effectively implemented.
- Receive guidance from seasoned practitioners and researchers who provide insights and customized recommendations based on community context.
- Identify specific small business displacement threats and work with peers and facilitators to co-create and prioritize practical, community-informed solutions.
- Leave with an action-oriented roadmap, including defined next steps and a clearer sense of what’s needed to advance local small business anti-displacement efforts.
