The Georgia Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Business Center, affiliated with the Enterprise Innovation Institute (EI2), a unit at the Georgia Institute of Technology, helps what local, state, and federal governments define as “Minority Business Enterprises,” or MBEs. The business center helps MBEs access capital, increase profitability, and scale their businesses. In addition, the center provides businesses with technical assistance and one-on-one counseling, proposal preparation, mentoring, and capacity building to increase business growth and profitability.

The Georgia MBDA is one of 40 similar centers and special projects funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency, which prioritizes serving MBEs whose owners are (as categorized by the federal government) African American, Asian American, Hasidic Jew, Hispanic American, Native American, and Pacific Islander.
