In the aftermath of the January 2025 wind and wildfire disasters in the Los Angeles area, Los Angeles County’s Department of Economic Opportunity introduced the Business-to-Business Space Share program to assist commercial tenants who had lost their operating space. The program serves as a free exchange platform, connecting displaced businesses and nonprofits to temporary work spaces that are donated by similar businesses in the region. This allows small businesses to find work spaces that match their specific needs, such as kitchen or manufacturing space and equipment. Although the platform is hosted on the Los Angeles County website, the county does not play a role in space-sharing agreements between businesses.
