The Economic Development Corporation provides support to small, local, and BIPOC-owned businesses located in Prince George’s County, including one-on-one counseling and onsite access to SCORE Counselors, counselors with local Small Business Development Centers (affiliated with the U.S. Small Business Administration), and counselors with local Procurement Technical Assistance Centers, which advise on selling to federal, state, and local governments. EDC also offers technical and business assistance to small and early-stage tech companies in urban areas through the Maryland-wide Urban Business Innovation Initiative (UBII), and supports BIPOC women small business CEOs through various C-Suite Accelerator programs, including the Level-Up pandemic recovery program.
