Laurel Legacy Small Business Grant Program – Laurel, MD
The Laurel Legacy Small Business Grant Program is offered by the city’s Department of Economic and Community Development to legacy businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. To prevent business closures and commercial vacancies, the program provides grants between $5,000 and $50,000 to businesses located in commercial, office, or industrial areas in the city for at least five years. Businesses must demonstrate a significant loss of revenue between March 2021 and January 2022, and changes to business operations that require operational and/or safety improvements. Grants must be used for business or property improvements, including utility upgrades, office equipment and installation, point of sale systems and accessories, or interior remodeling.
