Colfax Ave Business Improvement District (BID) – Denver, CO

Published On: March 14th, 2023|

The Colfax Ave Business Improvement District (BID) was founded in 1989 to support small, locally-owned shops along the Colfax Corridor. It works to maintain the neighborhood’s  historic character as one of Denver’s most iconic commercial corridors, while attending to the evolving needs of the district. The BID is funded by a tax on commercial property located within its boundaries. It is governed by a board of directors representing a diverse mix of businesses and property owners and individuals appointed by the mayor. It supports marketing to increase visibility, efforts to make streets cleaner and safer, streetscape improvements, and partnerships with various city agencies and community groups. The BID works to ensure that funding and pedestrian improvements along Colfax Avenue are equitably distributed and support long-time small businesses.
