Small Business Improvement Fund – Chicago, IL

Small Business Improvement Fund was approved by the City of Chicago in 2021. It aims to make more than $60 million available through grants. It is financed through TIF revenues, with more than $100 million allocated in the last 20 years. Funds are available to small businesses to help with workplace improvements and repairs, electrical and plumbing upgrades, expansion, and other costs. Grants range from $100,000 to $150,000 for commercial properties and up to $250,000 for industrial properties.
