Shuttle Service

The Hotel is located less than one mile from the College Park Metro Station, which is on Metro rail’s Green Line. Two shuttle buses serve this Metro station and include stops at or near The Hotel:

  • The University of Maryland shuttle provides service around campus and includes stops near The Hotel (see schedule and route).
  • The Hotel shuttle offers transportation within a five-mile radius. Guests should call The Hotel front desk when they arrive at the Metro to request shuttle service: 301.277.7777, ext. 0.

Directions from DCA to The Hotel at the University of Maryland

  1. Take the Blue Line Metro towards Largo (9 stops)
  2. Get off at Metro Center
  3. Switch to the Red Line, towards Glenmont, at Metro Center
  4. Get off at Rhode Island-Brentwood Metro Station
  5. Exit the Metro Station and walk to the bus bays
  6. From the Bus bays, take Bus 83 towards Cherry Hill (38 Stops)
  7. Get off at Baltimore Ave & Rossborough Lane
  8. The hotel will be up the road from your location

  1. Take bus F6 towards Fort Totten (for 29 stops)
  2. Get off at Campus Dr & Regents Dr
  3. Walk to the Hotel (will be visible once you are off the bus)
  4. Total Journey Time: 30 mins

Metro Information

  1. Download the SmarTrip app / purchase a SmarTrip Metro Card at the Metro station to access the Metro
  2. Add balance to your plastic or digital card
    • Off-peak metro fares are $2 one-way. Peak fares are variable depending on route and distance
    • Tip: If you are using a digital card, you may directly add money to your balance via the Apple Wallet App rather than the SmarTrip App

Both Uber & Lyft operate in the DMV area. Typical prices (for standard cabs) from main transport hubs to College Park, MD are:

  • IAD: $60 to $90
  • DCA: $35 to $70
  • BWI: $35 to $60
  • New Carrollton: $12 to $20
  • Union Station: $35 to $50
